Sharing Bills with a Partner

You can use Chronicle Cloud to share bills with a partner.

If you’d like to sync your data with multiple users, for example, with a partner, just sign into the same Chronicle Cloud account on each device that would like to sync.

Only one user needs to pay for a subscription to Chronicle Cloud on Mac or Chronicle Pro on iOS. So, for example, if Dustin has an iPhone and Mac, and and Suzie also has her own iPhone and iPad, and they want to share bills, Suzie can purchase Chronicle Pro, and they can all sign into the same Chronicle Cloud account on all Mac and iOS devices, and bills will sync between all four devices.

Showing only Certain Bills on Certain Devices

Starting in version 14.2 for macOS and iOS, you can also limit which bills are shown by default on each device, by using the Tag Filter feature. This is useful, for example, if you have a person on the account who generally only needs to see a subset of bills that apply to them. When the filter is enabled, only bills showing the matching tag will appear when selecting the Overview. You can still select other tags to view them if necessary, but the default view will always show only bills matching the selected tag.

To enable the tag filter on a Mac, go to Chronicle's preferences and select the Sharing tab. Enable the Tag Filter feature, and then select the tag you would like to be shown by default.

To enable the tag filter on iOS, go to Chronicle's settings, and select the Pro Features section. Under the Sharing heading, type the name of the tag you would like to be shown by default, in the Only Show Bills Matching Tag field.
