Migrating from iCloud sync to Chronicle Cloud sync is very simple, but there are a few tips worth noting to make sure to avoid any issues in the future:
- First, make sure your bills are up-to-date, and then purchase Chronicle Pro. You can do this from the iPhone or iPad app, or from version 14 on Mac.
- If you have any older versions of Chronicle for Mac installed (version 9.8 or earlier), make sure to go to Preferences > Sync and disable iCloud sync. If you have old data on an iOS version that has been syncing with iCloud, first, disable iCloud, then delete the app and restart your phone before reinstalling the app. Otherwise, old iCloud data may overwrite your Chronicle Cloud data.
- Then, create a Chronicle Cloud account from one of your devices with your bills. All your bills will then sync to Chronicle Cloud.
- Sign into Chronicle Cloud on all other devices you want to use. Your bills will now stay in sync, and you're done!
As a last step, you may want to delete your iCloud data to prevent old data from being loaded should you accidentally enable it.
To delete your Chronicle iCloud data from a Mac, go to System Preferences > Apple ID, and then click the Manage button under your iCloud storage area. Find any copies of Chronicle on the list, click them, and then and click the Delete All Files button.
To delete your Chronicle iCloud data from an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings App > Your Profile > iCloud > Manage Storage. Find any copies of Chronicle on the list, tap them, and then tap the Delete Data button.
